Candace Girls Educational Foundation provides services to disadvantaged girls by way of the following programs:

Educational Assistance

Candace Girls awards educational grants to students based on financial need, academic merit, and a demonstrated commitment to excellence and service. Grant awards will assist with school tuition fees and/or participation in educational conferences, seminars, or courses. We are committed to ensuring that our girls go to school, advance each year, graduate from college, achieve higher education, and go on to fulfill meaningful careers, understanding they can be anything they want to be and that they have much to offer the world.

In addition to awarding educational grants, Candace Girls will assist in the education of its girls by donating books, school supplies, audio and visual learning materials, and other educational tools and necessities.

Career Development and Vocational Training

Candace Girls is assisting its girls with career development and vocational training consistent with their career interests. We will conduct workshops, conferences, and presentations on choosing a career. We will also provide mentoring services from career professionals, and offer internship opportunities with professionals at local businesses and educational institutions.

Personal Development and Healthy Living

Candace Girls understands that in order for its girls to reach their highest educational and professional pursuits, they must also maintain their health. Candace Girls is thus promoting healthy living and lifestyles; teaching basic hygiene principles and proper health care; and will conduct presentations on maintaining physical, mental, and spiritual wellness.

Community Involvement and Public Outreach

Candace Girls wants to empower girls to become agents of change in their community and surrounding countries. Its girls engage in various community service projects and participate in activities and programs to promote cross-cultural understanding and enhance transatlantic relations between the United States and Liberia.
