Cornelius N. Poneys

Cornelius Poneys was first accepted as a Trainee by the LFS Financials Holding, a company responsible for green fielding for Access Bank Micro-Finance Bank (Access Bank) in Liberia.

Upon completion of his courses at the AME University in October of 2008, Cornelius was later hired by the International Bank (Liberia) Ltd. in February of 2009, where he currently works. 

At International Bank (Liberia) Ltd., Cornelius has served in several positions of trust, including Teller, Customer Service Officer, Customer Service Supervisor, Deputy Corporate Manager, Head of Treasury, Branch Manager, and now Corporate Manager. 

Cornelius holds an MBA in Finance from the Cuttington University Graduate School and an Advance Certificate in Strategic Business Management from a SIDA sponsored training by SIPU and Jarskog Konsult. 

Cornelius is a very professional and dedicated young man. He is deeply committed to his core values of integrity and honest; and he has a firm belief in the importance of the financial system for the development of Liberia. Ultimately, Cornelius sees his contribution as being part of a professionalization of the banking system in Liberia that will in turn stimulate growth of the private sector in the country.
